I’ve been to the shop a couple times, once for myself and several times for my daughter. When booking, I chose the natural individual braids that star...t at $100, like I’ve done in the past and it has never been an issue. I booked an appointment for 3:30 because that was the only time available and my daughter needed her hair done for school pictures. I paid the $50 deposit because it was required to book the service, no problem. I got my confirmation on Saturday and then received a cancellation but no reason. I called the number for the shop and spoke to Aleta and she said it was done in error and fixed it and rebooked for the same time. I got there and I told the ladies that I wanted the natural individual braids size small and asked if they could put the beads in that I purchased. They looked at a sheet that was there for awhile trying to find a price, and told me that it would be $250 for individuals with beads. What they showed me didn’t even say a size on there. I asked the girl if this was the price for no hair added because I didn’t want any hair to be added to my daughter’s hair and she said yes. I showed her my deposit and paid the remaining money because I still needed my daughter’s hair done. Now every time that I have been there, it has always been $100 flat plus the $10 for the beads application. Now if the price was a little more because my daughter’s hair is long and prices have gone up everywhere, then that would not be a problem. But to go from $100 to $250 is crazy. I felt mislead on the price, it should have been reflected on the website, so I could have chosen whether I wanted that service, chosen another service or chosen to book somewhere else. You should consider adding the prices for the sizes of the braid as well. I’ve seen people say that the price is for a certain size on the first page, and then when you go to book the date, it gives add-ons, and then it states the different sizes and the extra cost. We were there until 9:40, I felt like the girl was so unsure of what she was doing. She wasn’t inviting or friendly, barely uttered a word to my daughter. My daughter didn’t have a good experience and she already hates getting her hair done because she is tender headed. She did a good job and the braids were cute. I brought 4 packs of beads and she started putting 10 beads on each braid, then realized that she didn’t have enough beads, so some braids have 2 beads, and then she had to add beads from the shop. Not gonna lie. I’m tight. I made an appointment for 1230 paid my deposit. I’m still sitting here at 4:25, I don’t have one twist or braid in my hair. ...I’ve been seen late multiple times before but today is the icing on the cake. Some people fear honesty for a number of reasons including fear of offending the other person. Without honesty there can be no growth. I hesitated writing my review because I understand we all just tryna make it and I didn’t want to be one of the negatives. I am glad to say that I’ve been a customer for the past 7 months and my first appointment was on my birthday which was an emergency. The shop has been accommodating fair comfortable and relaxing on just about every visit. I have and will continue to recommend this shop. I will continue to be a customer as well. Show more

MUST READ: Last week I got starter locs done which were AMAZING. I was hard set on coils, Corya suggested 2-strand twists and said I would be able t...o style them more and she thought they would look better. I didn’t listen and that was a total mistake. We were laughing about it the entire time lol. This time I went in to get them redone into the 2-strand twists and she was extremely nice about it and took the coils out, washed my hair, and put the BEST two-strand twists I’ve ever had. I should have listened too her the first times. I have A LOT of hair so it really took her some time and effort into doing them so perfectly. Corya is very knowledgeable and was teaching the other stylists tricks that they could do to their clients hair and helping them all while doing my hair. Also I’m VERY tender headed.
