I decided to book an appointment with Carmen after reading her reviews. Since I was only interested in having Carmen cut my hair, I had to wait two we...eks before my appointment. I showed up for my appointment. One employee was working on coloring a customer's hair. One employee was doing the third employee's nails. No one introduced themselves to me, but I was able to determine that Carmen was the one working on a customer's hair & Veronica was getting her nails done. Carmen told me that one employee (Veronica) would be with me soon (after her nails were done). So I waited. My appointment started and I realized I was not getting my haircut from Carmen. I guess my cut was not valuable enough. She had no intention of doing my hair. Booking with a specific person was pointless. It all felt very rude. The shop itself was unsanitary. When I got my hair washed, I was placed on the same cloth the previous woman was on. They didn't change the wet cloth on the sink for me. Disgusting. The bathroom soap was 90% water. Gross. Their shop materials (shampoo, etc) was in the bathroom, not enclosed in a cabinet. Just sitting there on a shelf in front of the toilet, to be sprayed by toilet flushes. The employees were unfriendly & disorganized. The reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because Veronica was very communicative during my cut & did a good job with my haircut. If it weren't for my overall experience & the shop itself, I would probably see her again. Show more
