Matthew is the ideal barber. He took the consultation at the beginning very seriously. The consultation is one of the most important aspects of a ha...ircut, since you can’t get a great cut unless the barber knows exactly what you want. Matthew listened to what I wanted, looked at all of the photographs I showed him on my iPad, and made suggestions and recommendations, which is exactly what I asked him to do. Since he then knew the possibilities I was considering, I gave him creative license with my hair and beard to come up with the best combination of styles for the shape of my face and what he had to work with. I could not have been more pleased with the result. Out of the several possibilities we discussed, he came up with a great style and cut. He is my new barber! I can’t imagine going to anyone else. And if you don’t live near Wyandotte, expand your horizons - Matthew is worth the trip! Show more

I can't say enough good things about Matthew! He talked to me about my head and beard goals (I didn't even realize i had goals until talking to him) f...or a good 10 minutes before even starting my haircut. He gave me great tips for head and beard care and products, even giving recommendations/recipes for beard oiI I could make myself. He was incredibly thorough in everything he did. You can clearly tell this is a passion for him and not just a job. My old barber retired and I've been looking for a new barber for a while now. I can happily say that Matthew will be it going forward. I booked my next appointment before I pulled out of the parking lot. Show more
