I’ve been going to Mike for almost 5 years, I found his shop online as soon as I moved to NV. I live in Seven Hills in Henderson & choose to drive all... the way across town to Fremont st. essentially b/c A Cut Above is worth it. Mike, Troy & the rest of the team create a great environment & not only does Mike cut my hair, he helped me grow it & referred me to his niece when it was time to start my locs. I’ll never go to another shop as long as they are around. Show more

Mike first cut my hair in 2012. I left vegas in 2013 and returned in 2014 and he has consistently cut my hair since then. The attention to detail and ...level of professionalism has not waned even through the early days of the pandemic. He is always on time, organized, informs you of his plans to take vacation , his tools are clean, he provides hygiene tips to maximize hair quality , and is open to feedback. One doesn’t feel intimidated if they want to make a last minute change. I feel safe in his chair and experience him as family oppose to a paying customer and I am respected as such. Mike and his team bring to life the Deion Sanders Quote “Look good feel good , feel good play good, play good the pay is good”. When I leave his chair I feel renewed. Show more
