The place is very cute and the employees are polite, but the experience when I came in for my haircut wasn't great. I had 3 different people work on... my hair at different times which felt a little unusual/strange. There was one person for washing, one for the cut, and one for a blow-dry that didn't even leave my hair fully dried. My main hairdresser who actually ended up doing the cut spent nearly the whole time talking to another client that she knew who was waiting for their turn, instead of talking with me. It felt rushed. It was a very quiet/uncrowded time, so it's not like that was a factor. The whole thing left me feeling very awkward the whole time and made me just want the cut to be done and over with rather than ask for extra changes/make clarifications in what I wanted. This was exacerbated by the fact that the person who dried my hair at the end was different than the person who cut it. Things always lay a little different when your hair is dry vs when it's wet. I felt like I would've been a big inconvenience for them if I said "hey actually now that I've seen this dried and sitting like it would normally, I want this a little different, can the other person come back so we can make some adjustments?" I've never felt like an inconvenience with other salons. The haircut I got was fine, it just didn't end up being what I wanted because I felt like I wasn't given an opportunity to clarify/voice what changes I wanted to make. The reason I go to a salon over a typical chain hairdresser is for the mellow, social, and indulgent "salon experience" that I have received at other salons in other places I have lived. I just feel like that was not what I got. Show more
