I have been here twice for a haircut and beard trim and both times I have had a great experience. The first cut was with Elvis. The second time I call...ed ahead and scheduled an appointment with Elvis but when I got there they sat me with Sylvia. This was not a problem because Sylvia also did a great job! I will be back. Recently moved to White Plains from Baltimore, and I was in for a fade. As a new client who could turn to a regular one, I would expect the barber to ...be more welcoming and accommodating. I showed the barber a picture of my cut I got in Baltimore two weeks ago, and he said he can do it the "Baltimore" way. Sadly that wasn't the case. The barber had very poor communication skills and lacked professionalism. I'm not fluent in Spanish, but I can understand enough to know when someone is making comments about my simple request. I overlooked the bad mouthing because the fade was looking good. But things took a turn for the worse when he started freely clipping my top when I had specifically asked that there be a defined divide between the sides and top. Me being polite and optimistic, I let the barber continue. However, when I asked him to cut the top a little shorter. He cut it way too short on one side and left it long on the other. At this point he started telling his colleague that he'll be charging $5 extra. Anyway, I left giving him $10 extra for his time, though, that is all he'll ever get from me. Not coming back, but you may get better service if you're Dominican or getting a cut from the younger barbers who have a better grip on the English language. Show more
