Fabulous root touch up! Very few places can color my hair without staining the skin and Issac did a great job on my hair. I will be back!

I was recommended to visit Isaac by a trusted friend who lives in the building (he is moving just a few blocks north soon) and I could not be happier ...with the results! Isaac has a warm and friendly demeanor making it feel like you've known him for a decade! I'm usually picky with my hair cuts and leave unhappy and I couldn't be happier with the cut he did. This place is a little hidden gem! I was greeted by the wonderful MC & Isaac himself did my blowout which was EXCELLENT! I left feeling & looking fant...astic! He's been doing hair for many years & his Dad was a hair designer/stylist too; legacy is in the work & a respect for the craft. I'm definitely coming back & maybe I'll even do my color & cut next time! Show more
Long overdue review as I've been getting my haircut at Isaac's for over 10 years now (way back to when it was Novella), but can't imagine going anywhe...re else. Isaac always provides a great cut, style, and an overall great customer experience. I almost always get Isaac but have gone with others at the salon when my schedule didn't work and they're all phenomenal and consistent. By far the best haircut experience I've had in this city or any other. Thank you Isaac! Show more

Stumbled into Isaac Gabai walking up the street, literally saw an amazing blowout walk out and was recommended to see Veronika. Now I'm a Colorado gir...l, blowouts aren't a thing and my hair is so thick it's pathetic. But I did as I was told, I made the trip to see Veronika and I'm so glad I did. She did an amazing job, that not even my hairdresser mother can accomplish. I have been back to visit each time I'm in the city. Have nothing but great things to say about my experience here! Isaac is THE BEST! Immediately upon walking in, I am made to feel relaxed, comfortable, and taken care of. The little touches like offering tea/hot wa...ter, the hair wash, scalp massage, and pleasant conversation always makes me feel relaxed and in great hands. In a city that moves so quickly, I never feel rushed by Isaac. I walk out of there looking like a movie star every time! Show more

Isaac is top notch!!!! After a couple bad experiences at other salons Isaac put all my worries to rest and now I have my go to barber in NYC
I went to Isaac upon the recommendation of my partner, and I could not have been more pleased. I had a full head of curly hair from the pandemic and w...anted to do something completely different with it. I showed Isaac some photos of what I wanted, and he cut it exactly as desired even adding some of his own touches to make it better, all the while keeping the mood light and fun. I am very satisfied with the style and the techniques he employed. Breth, who gave me a wonderful hair wash, and the rest of the staff also made the space feel warm and welcoming. I will definitely be going back for my future cuts. Show more
Lola is amazing! Anyone who has curly hair knows how hard it is to find someone who can really make your hair look fabulous and be easy to manage. L...ola did that on my very first visit to her. The body and shape of my hair is phenomenal. I don't know when I have had a better haircut..which leads me to believe I never have until now. Thank you, Lola! She is so experienced and talented...and fast, which shows she knows what she's doing. So very happy I've found her!! Show more
