Literally booked without calling her or texting her . When I came I was welcomed by the owner and Cyn . The building was very clean . I had got a retw...ist /2stran and a all around fade from her . She did her thang tbh I didn’t know what I was going to get but I’m forsure going back to her . Also when I was in the chair everyone in the shop was having positive conversations and laughing. They really love doing they job it more than money at this shop .I highly recommend her to anyone and I’m from New York. Show more

If I could give this review negative 5 stars I would tbh On 11/19/23, i had a loc retwist appointment with Cyn at 10am. The night before she reschedu...led me an hour earlier at 9am without my approval. I told her i can make it there by 930 and there was no response. During my appointment she rushed thru the shampoo and conditioning process. Her products left my hair extremely dry and the hand towels she used to dry my hair left lint all over my locs, which I did not notice until after I got home, since most of them were stuck in the thickest part of my hair in the back. Not to mention she did not moisturize my hair with any essential oils. The twist and loc gel she used for my hair, dried out my roots and scalp! I’ve never had an issue with dryness until after our appointment, SMH She charged me a $50 deposit the week before and said i owed her $90, so $140 total. She charged me an extra $40 because of my hair being shoulder length which was not disclosed prior. Look at these pictures. SHE DID NOT PALM ROLL ANY OF MY LOCS, only comb twisted and parted the roots with a product that left my roots with a lot of white residue & ALL of my locs were fuzzy & not fresh at all after only 48 hours of being done, wth!!! Its insane how my hair looked more shiny and lively before i walked in and worst leaving. I hit her up the following day which was Monday 11/20 about this on Instagram about a possible refund for the extra 40$ fee charged for extra length since the whole loc was not done or a redo. SHE REJECTED BOTH OFFERS AND BLOCKED ME. LOOK AT THE CONVERSATION, SHES A SNAKE!!! I called Marco, the owner of Uptown Lounge and told him about my horrible customer service received by Cyn. He did nothing, have not heard back from him. He’s been avoiding my call backs and instagram DMs. In conclusion Cyn scammed me for $180 and her Booksy prices are different from what she discusses while your in her chair, my service according to her booksy states 120+ not 140+ and my hair is in worse shape now then before the appt. If you get a retwisted loc style from this young lady, TELL HER TO PALM ROLL EVERY SINGLE LOC thoroughly and not just the roots, that is not a full service Re twist. Do not be fooled by only having your roots parted nicely. She puts in 10% effort into her work & long locs should take no less than 2 and a half hours with proper care and treatment. P.S. Marco told me to leave this review. This all could’ve been avoided with a partial refund, not being blocked, or just having me come back in. Show more

The service was not rushed. It was approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes. The clients locs were given undivided attention and top care. We even shampooed the client twice to ensure all build up was removed. All clients that book with CynBlends are required to place a card on file or send a deposit in case of last minute cancellation or no show. This policy has been in effect since November of 2021. All products used are alcohol free and promote hair grown. We do not use additional oil on our clients in an effort to reduce over production of oil on the scalp. The mirror was given to the client halfway through the service to check for approval as well as after the service while showing every angle of the head. The client gave a $20 tip in addition to the $40 to show his appreciation for the service. In conclusion, we are committed to giving all our clients a satisfying and relaxing experience. While we are unhappy with the one star review, we are excited to prove our value to our new and returning clients, one appointment at a time. ✨🫶🏾
