I often ghost a salon/hairdresser because I go to certain ones that specialize in differe...nt hair services i.e. weaves, protective styles, coloring, etc. Well, there’s no dipping out on Hair God Albie since he’s done my hair me going elsewhere my hair be like “What you talking bout Willis”?:-). The Good, The Bad, and the Awesome! First off I was pleasantly surprised that this young talent was not put off w/a mostly gray-haired lady and didn’t... run for the hills at the sight of my mane. I had been looking for a gray hair-friendly salon since ditching the dye post the COVID outbreak. But was looking to just utilize Ablie for a trim w/Silk Press until I found one. Not only did he do his thing on the trim and SP but was very well-versed in GH and hair care in general. Albie was very attentive, professional, and efficient in the assessment and condition of my hair’s needs. I appreciated the fact that his amazing SP also included a much-needed hydration treatment that (along with) everything else he used smelled and felt incredible. The only thing I didn’t like was the way my hair smelled after the service. I have a very strong sense of smell and it smelled hard pressed. At first, I thought it was the salon’s hair odor that had crept in as I smelled it upon arrival at the salon. Like the salons of old (back in the day) when they used the ole straightening comb. But by day 2 it had not worn off which I found odd because Albie used a regular flatiron. However, this small issue is definitely not a deal breaker for me to keep coming. AG is an amazing shampooer, stylist, and person which is what determines whether or not I continue w/an HS, besides some White Diamonds (Liz Taylor) sprayed inside a silk hair bonnet happied (smell) that up.:-) Show more
