Real Review, Please Read; After having locs for almost three years. I did the big chop. Once my hair grew long enough. I knew I wanted braids. I went... searching booksy for braiders in my area. I came across (Ruth'sGlowing Braids). I did my research of course. I read through Ruth's policy, checked out her profile and read through every single review. 🔍😂 I also reached out to her directly to inquire about her services and to get a better feel for her professionalism and character. I can actually say, she communicates well and is very welcoming. Now, I was ready to take the next step. I booked my appointment and tipped ahead of time. Because I encourage good service. She messaged me about one of the colors I requested was hard to find. Though she provided a great substitute for the color I originally ask for. My anxiety was still through the roof. Because this was my first encounter with her and her prices can be a little intimidating. Anyway, I arrived and she started my hair on time. She works out of the back of her home. The shop was clean and well equipped with everything needed to get the job done. She had two other ladies assisting her and they were friendly and professional as well. I felt at ease and I was out of the chair on schedule. My hair is laid to the most high and I feel beautiful. 🙌🏾👸🏾 I am more than satisfied and my money was well spent. My hair looks lovely. I came for medium large boho braids at 9am and left shortly after 2pm. The prices are steep but my hair is very neat. My only ne...gative is that the salon chair that I was sitting in was very uncomfortable; it leans down on the left side making it a bit painful. Happy with my hair. though! Show more

Ruth’s Glowing braids is the absolute truth! She makes you feel at home and comfortable in her place of business. I have been going to her for a while... now, and she has never failed to do the task. Her parts are clean and crisp. I am tender headed and when she does my hair I am not jumping or flinching. She is so gentle.
