Thank you for your feedback. I take the safety and comfort of all my clients, especially children very seriously. However, I feel it, It’s important to provide clarity regarding this appointment. Upon arrival, it was evident that the child's scalp was severely sensitive due to the condition of the hair from the previous style. when hair is left in a style for too long the scalp becomes tender, making any professional service, feel uncomfortable, regardless of how gentle the stylist is. it is inaccurate to characterize professional care as "pulling" when the discomfort was a result of the scalp and hair ends pre-existing condition, and the complexity of the service required to address it. I always want a young child to have a positive experience and I have found the open communication is the key to success for parents bringing in children for the first time. I suggest the following to ensure a smooth visit. One, please encourage your child to speak directly to the stylist if they feel discomfort. when a child whispers concerns privately to a parent rather than the stylist it prevents us from being able to adjust our technique or pause to help them feel safe. If the child feels they have to “hide their feelings from the stylist, it creates unnecessary tension in the chair. Also, ensuring the hair is properly maintained between appointments prevents the scalp sensitivity that made this particular visit so difficult for your son.
