I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt I needed to share this experience. Being natural takes time, patience, and consistent care. After over fou...r years of growing and nurturing my hair, I booked this service expecting a simple trim and left with my hair irreparably mishandled. I made it clear before the shampoo that I only wanted a trim. However, after washing, my hair wasn’t properly detangled. Instead, she blow dried and detangled at the same time using a paddle brush, ripping through my hair. Any natural knows this leads to breakage and unnecessary damage. Without my consent, she then cut around two inches off and cut the left side shorter than the right. She never acknowledged the uneven cut or tried to correct it. She moved straight into styling. I requested curl definition for my wash-and-go, but the result was undefined, dry, and frizzy and nothing close to what I asked for. I was so unsatisfied with the result, I came home and washed my hair again and did a proper wash and go on it. Even with all of this, she still charged me for the full service. I reached out afterward and received a partial refund, but the damage was already done. This experience took a real emotional toll on me, and I will not be returning. I've included before and after photos of my hair. I did not take a picture of the wash and go that I received. The one included below is the one I did on myself after the appointment where my hair is visibly thinner and shorter. The blow dried photo is my hair prior to the appointment as well. The Salon is so beautiful and clean and the staff are knowledgeable and personable, I felt like I had been going for years after my first visit. Teran...eka always does such a wonderful job on me and my partners hair and we always look forward to our next appointment. They also have in house products available that are excellent. The Autumn Rain Hair Refresher Spray is great and keeps my hair moisturized daily and refreshes styles so they last and the Eclectic Hair & Body cream keeps my skin soft and smells amazing.
