I've been going to Sleek Freak (renamed, "Mirror, Mirror") for quite a few years now. Their new location is wonderful. The building itself is really n...ice, and the shop feels more cozy and intimate. They now have air conditioning and hot water! Which their previous landlord didn't care to supply. Customer service was not his strong suit. Amanda's new shop is right off of Yosemite near 125... very easy to get to! Please go see Amanda and Hillary at their new place! Show more

Instantly you will feel welcome and know you came to the right place. Amanda’s customer service goes above and beyond. She makes you feel comfortable ...and communicates very well. I loved that she texted me in advance to get to know what kind of hairstyle and what color I want. She was also transparent about pricing, making sure there were no surprises. Also, I loved how meticulously she trimmed my hair. She really paid attention to the details. I will definitely come back. However, there is one improvement I would like to see; the time management. When I got there, she was still with another customer. When my time finally came, she needed to go to a store to get my hair color, which she did previously explain over text may be necessary if she doesn’t have the color I want. However, when I chose the color I wanted, I thought it was one she already had. So I ended up needing to wait about 50 min in total until my session finally started…Of course, unbeknownst to her, I had plans scheduled for that afternoon that I needed to adjust because of the delay. In fairness, I didn’t tell her about my schedule because I didn’t want her to feel rushed. Honestly, I am glad I didn’t because I really like the job she did, and I was fortunate enough to have a good backup plan. Show more
