Greetings Mrs.Garland, I hope this finds you well. I'm Gina, aka Gigi. The owner of Hair Fetish Couture. I am writing in response to your review. I was taken aback when I saw this. I have been a licensed master cosmetologist for over 30 years and a salon owner for 28 years. My staff and I pride ourselves in customer services first and foremost. I nor my staff would not show up on time for our customers who pay for a service online. I actually remember the day in question. Because you were scheduled to see me that day and I was there at 8:50 a.m. After researching your appointment itinerary. I think you may have overlooked your appointment. You had changed your appointment. It was originally scheduled for 8 a.m., and you yourself went online and rescheduled it to 9 a.m. I have the scheduled appointments that were emailed to me. I wish I could post them here. However, I will email them both directly to you. I do understand that things happen. However, this was not an error on my behalf. The salon was open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. , which was passed our normal business hours on Saturday. When you receive the emails for review. I"d greatly appreciate it if you would rescinde the 1 star review and remarks that you made on our platform with Booksy. My staff and I work very hard to keep good reviews. The owner was very nice as we conversed and seemed knowledgeable in many ways. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with my experience. After a straighten...ing appointment, I left with very poofy roots. The hair itself was silkened, but not all the way through as expected. My hair is usually very dry and there were no oils or anything were put on to help, only advice given on products to buy for the future which was appreciated. All in all she was very nice, but my hair wasn't thoroughly straightened which left me disappointed. Show more

Thank you for your review Kayla. It was a pleasure to meet you. I'm sorry you were not pleased with your hair service. As I silk press hair all the time. I have never had any complaints. However, we did discuss the condition your hair was in. It was very dry and breakage was sporadically every where through out your hair the porosity was very porous. I did express to you that it needed to be treated. One shampoo and flat iron does not fix years of abuse. There was no treatments given at your service. Perhaps you are use to going to Deminican salons, where they use excessive heat to straighten hair. That is not what we offer at this salon. However I would love to offer / show you what we can do as far as getting your hair in a healthy state. Which does take effort on your part to do a 6 week routine. To treat the hair from internally out. Feel free to reach out if it is something your interested in. If not I wish you well in your hair journey Gigi

Unprofessional, rude and rough on my natural hair. You're not supposed to detangle hair from the roots down. The best part was getting my hair washed.... Not going back. (Response to your reply) You're proving my point with your response. You're supposed to be gentle to everybody's hair regardless. You stated that you've been in business for 30 years is just embarrassing because you should know better not to talk about your client and their husband while they're in the chair is just rude. You didn't ask what hair style I wanted so you just did what you wanted. The floors had bugs on it from days ago so ask me how I know because I was there days ago, that makes me know it's not being swept. The air conditioner was out, life happens... You could've had bottled waters on ice in a cooler for your clients and some fans... I was rooting for you sistah. I'm a youtuber so I'm doing a video about this problem in our community. Greetings Ms. Dorothy, I was quite taken back at the review you left. As I take customer service to be a top priority. I do my best to be thorough as well when providing hair care services. I'm not sure at what point rudness took place and as a licensed professional of 30 years, I do know how to handle the combing of hair. Which is from the end to the roots. If you have a sensitive scalp/ tender headed. Truly if you communicated that to me. I could have taken a different approach combing out your hair. Communication is key and essential with a stylist. Believe me, I truly do my best to educate my customers/clients from the beginning of the service to the end. And make them feel welcomed in a peaceful and relaxed enviorment. Reply to your second post. You seem to have a great deal of hostility. I don't allow negative energy in my space. We can agree to disagree. The saying goes " you can not please everyone" I'm okay with that 🙂 God's Peace 🙏
