Renew Concealed Handgun License

I had to renew my CHL, the instructions asked me to schedule an appointment and fill out a application form and that after a background check and payi...ng $75.00 I would receive my renewed license. What really happens is I have to wait up to 30 days and it will be mailed to me. Soooo, why could I not just mail it in? Fortunately I'm retired but if I wasn't this would have been a real inconvenience, why can't we just mail it in? Finding a parking place, emptying my pockets to enter the court house, waiting my turn at the window just to drop off a form and a check seems a little over the top. Show more
