Alain is a menace when it comes to wielding clippers and shears. My first appointment with him certainly won't be my last. Walking in, I resembled som...eone who had just battled through the wilderness, but Alain took it as a challenge. His passion for his craft is undeniable, evident in every meticulous detail and consideration he puts into his work. He not only listened to my preferences but also tailored them perfectly to my hair type. Unsure about what to do with my beard, I simply asked for it to be shorter, and he absolutely nailed it. This is my third review of Alain’s work. This time, I went with the Haircut + Beard service. The last two haircuts have been absolutely phenomenal, so... I took a chance with the beard service. I phrased it that way because I am very particular with my beard, but I trusted Alain with it, and I cannot even express how happy I am with it. The amount of care and level of detail was truly amazing. Something that sticks out to me, when Alain applies the clippers onto you, there’s always intent and he’s never second guessing himself, and I really like that in a barber, his confidence and trust in himself shows with the work he does. Today was my second haircut by Alain. Let me tell you, I am blown away. My first haircut from Alain was him correcting another barber's mistake from a... different barbershop, so I felt like this was my "first" haircut by him. Not only did Alain give me an amazing haircut, he acted as a consultant, letting me know what hairstyles fit my hair texture and head shape. Alain is a beast. Most barbers will take 2-3 cuts to get my hair how I like it, but not Alain. The first time I sat in his chair, my cut was spot on. ...Alain will cut it exactly how I like it every time. He will also recommend different styles with my beard and fade, and his recommendations are always on point. The atmosphere is very chill at Fade Away as well. I went to 4 different barbers in PCB before I found Alain. I’ll never go anywhere else again. Show more
