Such an inconsistent and unprofessional hair stylist. She decided to block me from her booking site because I wouldn’t pay the deposit twice due to mi...shaps of her own site. After speaking to my bank and verifying it was nothing I could do on my end and staying in tight communication with her, she decided to block me from booking her over $39 that she received. After she received the money she never thanked me or apologized for her mishaps. It’s such a shame that I trusted this stylist to cut off all my hair and to start a new hair journey with her just for her to abruptly cut off ties and force me to look for other stylist ( which I am confident there’s much better out there). However, it’s the principle of accountability and professionalism which she lacks. And to touch on what the others have previously mentioned, her vibe is unwelcoming and awkward. Her questions are invasive and not geared towards what she claims will be discussed during initial appointments. Not once since I’ve gone to her has she mentioned diet or lifestyle which was something I was looking forward to learning more of. However, she did make it a point to continue to press me on the issues of how much I kept up with the maintenance of my hair in a condescending way. Btw be prepared to look your best because she records without providing a verbal warning or getting your consent! However, If you’re looking to ALWAYS have your appointments rescheduled look no further Shamenna will ensure that you don’t have your hair appointment on the day that you’ve originally scheduled. 😊 Show more

The vibe was kind of off at least that was my experience. Maybe I caught her at a bad day. She was 30min late still charged me regular price! I unders...tand things come up however accommodating goes along way. We get charged a x amount if we are late. Why can’t she hold herself to the same standard.I didn’t receive the length I requested. I requested 18, 20, and 22 inches. Instead I got 14, 16, and 18. And I had to ask instead of her letting me know. I will not be returning for another style. Show more

There were several professionalism /service issues. First, when I booked my appointment I was later contacted and "told" to come at a different time. ...I was never asked if that time worked. Business owners should not list time slots on their calendar that are not available. Second, the day of my appointment (a week later than I originally scheduled) I was contacted 20 minutes before the appointment time and told that my appointment was being pushed back 30 minutes. I was never given a reason for her running late but it clearly wasn't an emergency. Unless it is a true emergency, business owners should be on time for appointments. Third, the "small talk" during the visit was invasive and awkward. I don' think you should ask people personal questions about their relationship status, whether or not they have children, where they live, the school your children attend, etc. Conversations should be about neutral subjects like maybe my hair (lol) or non-personal subjects. Lastly, at the end of the appointment I asked her why she didn't wrap my hair in plastic wrap to lock in the silk and she said "oh that's just an extra unnecessary step." The level of professionalism I experienced unfortunately did not match the price I paid. Show more
