We’ve successfully completed our training for our dog, Sam, who was once a shy and slightly reactive boy. With Billy’s expert guidance, I learned how ...to be the strong, confident pack leader Sam needed, especially when he felt intimidated by other unfriendly or dominant dogs. Billy is incredibly patient and attentive, always paying close attention to the details of our training and ensuring that every step was clearly explained. He took the time to understand our unique needs and tailored the training to help Sam and me specifically, which made all the difference. Through these sessions, Sam and I have both grown in confidence. He is now unfazed by the presence of dominant dogs and looks to me for direction, which was not the case before. Previously, Sam wouldn’t look to me for guidance, reacting out of fear. But now, he knows I’m there to support and lead him through challenging situations, and he follows my lead with trust. Personally, I’ve become more aware of my own behavior and how I may have been unknowingly sending the wrong signals to Sam, which added to his confusion. With Billy’s training, we’ve made incredible progress, growing together with confidence and trust. Today, our walks have become a true pleasure. Refresher

As board and train alums, we met with Billy at the Sterling training center for a refresher for our Standard Poodle, Cody. Cody is 3 years old and is ...in his "teen" years and easily distracted. Distractions range from other dogs to our overly represented local squirrels. One look at a squirrel and it is off to the races - even to the point of pulling Vicki to the ground. Proverbial "last straw". By the time Billy was finished working with Cody and then with Cody and Vicki, Cody was well on his way to returning to his well-behaved self. The refresher lasted for 1 hour. It was time well spent. Today, Vicki took Cody for a walk around the neighborhood and the local shopping center. He was inundated with lots of distractions. He did very well and even met some local teenagers and a local merchant who wanted to meet and pet him. We have worked with OLK-9 for 3 of our dogs over a 10-year period. If you want to have a well-behaved dog and get to enjoy taking them wherever you go, do yourself a favor and at least talk to the folks at OLK-9. Show more
