This salon is the GOAT. I have never in my life felt more accepted and well treated as I do by the entire staff since the very first appointment that ...I had three years ago. Victoria is my stylist and I am ABSOLUTELY blown away by what she does each and every single time. What I love most about her is that she is totally transparent about pricing and realistic expectations. She has never once pressured me into doing anything I didn’t want or advised me to go with a service that was more expensive. I have hair cutting PTSD and she never cuts off more than I’m comfortable with. If you have not been to this salon then you are doing yourself a disservice. They have the best vibe and every time I’m there I have the greatest time. If I can say one thing, don’t laugh or smile at all before coming to the salon because your face is gonna be sore from the good times that these girls have everyone involved in. They are such a good time but know when to keep it professional. I love these girls and will recommend this salon long after my time in Virginia is done! Show more

I’ve been going to Anna Jean Salon for over a year for various services, and started getting my hair done with Naomi in the past year. I started seein...g Naomi when she was still an apprentice, and she’s always been so talented and skilled. No matter what I get done to my hair, I have ALWAYS been happy with the outcome. Skill aside, she’s just such a sweet person and so easy to talk to, and always makes sure I’m comfortable. In addition to Naomi, the other stylists working in the salon, including the owner, are always so amazing and welcoming, and the salon’s environment is always upbeat and positive. I don’t think I’ll consider going to a different salon or hairstylist. :) Show more

I recently went with a friend's recommendation to try AJS. Today was my second appointment with Anna. I moved to the area over the summer and previous...ly had not one, but two stylists ruin my color. I am so happy to have found Anna! She not only corrected my color, she immediately understood my vision. Giving me exactly the color I imagined. In just one visit she brought my hair back on track to where I want it to be. I can not recommend this salon enough! The new location is absolutely stunning and everyone is incredibly friendly. Dry cut & style

Im giving 1 star only because my first appointment was great, but my second one was not a good experience and Im no longer recommending this salon to ...family/friends. I had a dry cut and style scheduled but had a command fitness event come up prior to my appointment so I showered and then went in for my cut. I was charged a wash, cut and style even though I never recieved the wash service and so I was charged an additional 33 dollars all because my hair was damp when I came in. I dont feel like I got a clear answer on why they had to charge me a wash when I didnt recieve that service and my cut and style was under 20 minutes. My appontment didnt even start on time which I wasnt upset about but I do not agree with the charge and will not be returning to this salon. Ive never had an experience like this for what was really just a trim (barely 2 inches). Overall, just dissapointed in being upcharged and not even getting my hair washed at the salon. - Naomi, Appreciate the reply but no, I didn't have very wet hair, it was damp. You spent maybe 2 minutes blow drying it and I even asked you if cutting wet or dry hair mattered and you said no, just that you use the correct scissors. That partial refund was less than the tip I left you and so I don't even care about that partial refund, its the fact that I was charged for a service I didn't recieve, period. If you had washed my hair then yes, I wouldn't have had an issue paying that charge but you didnt and it upcharged me 33 more dollars.. for what?? for a blow dry service? No, that's ridiculous. Hi Shelby, thank you so much for your feedback. I would like to note that you did receive a partial refund for the wash portion of your service which we already discussed yesterday. You booked for a DRY cut and style but came into your service with very wet head that needed to be dried to ensure the quality of your cut, the additional blow dry was what you were charged for as discussed yesterday on our phone call. We appreciate your review but wanted to make sure we were able to understand a little better what your charge was for. Thank you so much!

You feel like a queen you the moment you walk into this salon. The entire staff is amazing. The boutique style salon is so adorable. I was ready for a... color and cut change which can be scary sometimes but Anna saw my vision and made feel so comfortable.
