We have a large family, and when we first found out our daughter came home with lice, we were extremely underinformed and in full panic mode. It was a... very dark and stressful morning, and after hearing that the Minnesota Lice Lady was expensive but worth it, we chose to go for peace of mind and professional help. When we arrived at the Apple Valley location with four young kids, the atmosphere initially seemed welcoming. Unfortunately, the first staff member we interacted with was rude and dismissive—interrupting us, appearing irritated by our questions, and making us feel like a burden during an already overwhelming moment. She also was rude to her employees. Given the emotional state we were in and the amount of money we were about to spend, this was incredibly discouraging. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in shortly after, and the experience completely turned around. She and the rest of the team were kind, patient, wonderful with our kids, and took the time to reassure us and answer our questions. From that point on, the service truly was worth the money. Later, we learned that the initial staff member was the owner’s daughter and the face of the company, which was disappointing. At this point, we have spent close to $1,000 and may continue to spend more, and we are now considering driving to a different location for future checkups. I also genuinely hope this review does not affect how we are treated when we return. After spending that amount of money during such a stressful situation, I would have deeply appreciated even a basic level of kindness—simply not being made to feel like a bother for being there, asking questions, or feeling overwhelmed. Compassion goes a long way for families walking in scared and looking for reassurance.

They found five eggs on my head and told me that they were all gone and then I went to another place a couple hours later and they found two more eggs... on my head :( I didn’t put my head on anything and I wasn’t with anyone else so there’s no way I would’ve gotten a new egg on my head

During your head check, our clinician did find five nits and explained that this meant a lice removal appointment was recommended. We then helped schedule you for our next available opening on Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., as per our policy for whenever we do identify a positive lice case. It’s not uncommon for additional nits to be found later, as lice removal was still needed. This is consistent with what we shared during your visit. Upon further investigation, it seems you cancelled your scheduled lice removal appointment on August 26 at 3:40 p.m. Our goal is always to provide families with clear, accurate information and thorough treatment options so they can move forward with confidence.
