I’ve always had good experiences here, but this massage was an exception. Within minutes, I realized I was alone in this massage parlor with just one ...man, my practitioner, so that wasn’t the best feeling to start off with. He dismissed the need to talk before the massage, even though what I needed to tell him was that I’d recently had major abdominal surgery and that he could not touch any area near my stomach. The main reason I give this two stars is because he was much less skilled and the massage was much poor quality than a typical massage here. The first half was basically a waste of time, he was applying pressure and deep breathing when I was barely feeling any impact at all. in the second half, I talked him through everything, often massaging myself, and telling him how to work with my body. At the end, he had the nerve to tell me I didn’t give him a big enough tip, something I find incredibly inappropriate, as no one is entitled to any tip whatsoever, let alone above $10. Show more

I do not recommend Mr. Sun. When he stretched my back it felt more like he was yanking my body too far, rather than being in touch with how far my bod...y was ready to stretch. I felt sore in a bad way the next day - very different from other Thai massages I've had. He also did not follow my request to focus mostly on my neck and shoulders; he seemed to be going through a full-body formula instead of tailoring to my needs. Show more

My experience here was a little below my expectations. There were no questions to check if I had previous injuries for the masseuse to look out for, o...r if there were specific areas on my body that needed additional focus. I have been here in the past and for the Thai Swedish massage which they used to give me a loose backless top for. This time they had me strip completely down. There was also no check in on how much pressure was comfortable for me and at times became rather painful. I was also rushed to hand over my credit card while I was trying to put my shoes back on once in the waiting room. I would go back, but perhaps when there is different staff. Show more

I had the best 90 minute Thai massage from Mr Sun! He is very intuitive with his massage, spending more time working out my tight areas automatically.... I wish he worked more than just Tuesdays & Wednesdays. I can’t wait to go back! Marina Thai Massage is a clean and quiet space. The price is amazing! Show more
