Had an appointment scheduled for 2 , walked in at 11:30 and they got me right in. Medium small knotless very full and very light weight

Services were terrible! You book an appointment and there is a time shown on the amount of time it would take for that particular appointment. My appo...intment stated the services would be 4 hours, by the time the services were done I was looking at a 8 hour appointment. They started with 2 people working on your hair and gradually end up with 1 person while the other person starts on another clients hair. During the process one person finishes the back and the previous person comes back to finished the top of your head. I will not be going back! I watch a client come in 2 hours behind me hair finished by the lady that started on my hair and we had the same style! Show more

This was my second time going to the salon. They did my hair one size and price on my first visit but did not give that same price for the exact same ...style and size on this second visit. I went ahead and got my hair done because I didn’t have any other option plus I drove over 30 minutes to get there but I am 5 days into having my small box braids in and I have had 3 slip out already!!! Highly disappointed! I will not be returning here. I paid over $300 and they’re falling out of my head on day 5!!! The first set of braids I got lasted for 9 weeks…. You should never pay at that price point and have your braids falling out. IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN and my hair was free of all products prior to having the style completed. By the way the first time the process was painless this time around my head was killing me and again all to have my braids fall out on day 5!!!! All it takes is 1 bad experience for me and I’m done, I work too hard to waste my money. I will have to put them back in myself and fix others that are beginning to slip. I could’ve saved my money and did them myself but I wanted to treat myself, so much for that. Show more

This was my second visit to Givens. The braiding experience itself was amazing. Was sat shortly after arriving and my knotless boho bob was done in 5 ...hours. The problem is 4 days later all of my curly pieces are sliding right out of my hair. I am on vacation for Christmas and my hair is falling out. For $320, I am incredibly disappointed in this experience. Show more

The atmosphere was welcoming, and I was seated relatively quickly. I’m happy with how my hair turned out overall—it looks beautiful, especially in the... front. The stylist in the front was meticulous with the parting and made sure everything was neat, which I really appreciated. However, I’ve been having an ongoing issue where large chunks of hair are coming out every time I style it. It’s incredibly frustrating, especially given the cost of the service. The curly pieces in the back seem to have not been properly installed, as they come out in full strands, almost as if they weren’t secured at all. This makes me feel like my investment is going to waste. While I don’t know the exact stylist who worked on the back, I would suggest paying extra attention to the curly pieces, even if they’re less visible. Just because they’re not seen doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be handled properly. Overall, I would consider returning, but I would definitely ask for more careful attention to the installation of the curly sections and to ensure better durability. Show more

Flip over boho cornrows

If I could rate no stars I would!!! Terrible customer service and communication. I booked the flip over boho braids almost 3 weeks in advance and upon... arriving to the hair shop for my appointment and checking in I was told they did not have the proper hair for the boho pieces!! I told them that this appointment had been booked well in advance so how is that possible?? No explanation other than “we just don’t have it”. I was then told that I could go buy the hair and they could still do the style and in turn I asked if they could come down from the original price because of the inconvenience, and for the simple fact that i’m now having to provide the hair. The lady then said “well you were going to have to pay extra anyways because the boho/curly pieces aren’t included in the price.” Now based on their booking site “Booksy” the price was all inclusive besides the add on prices for braid lengths. I never mind paying for what I book for but you’re absolutely not going to hit me over the head with made up prices that aren’t listed on the website. There was absolutely no where on their booking site that listed add on prices for boho/curly pieces. At that point I knew they weren’t touching my head and left. There was no sense of empathy and she was not in any way apologetic. In fact for half of our interaction she had the phone up to her ear talking to someone else. It all just screamed “IDC, it is what it is”. Very unprofessional and would not recommend anyone spending their time or hard earned money at this establishment. Show more
