I was the third generation in my family to wear my wedding dress. It dates back to 1950 with my grandma's original satin dress. My mom added lace, sew...n herself, to the dress for her own wedding. It's an incredibly special heirloom, and I am so glad I trusted Fichu with the alterations. It was a pretty big undertaking that required Mila to add fabric to the bodice while maintaining the original neckline. She showed so much creativity, using some of the original train material to fit the dress more flatteringly, including recreating the sleeves entirely! Mila was so sweet to work with throughout the process. She was really clear about the stages of work on the dress, her next steps, and scheduling for several fittings. I can't imagine working with anyone else on such an important project.
