My experience with Karla was traumatic. Before the procedure commenced, she insisted on taking before and after pictures. I had to tell her no four (4...) times. I did not sign the picture/video waiver form. I told her I needed to feel safe and was already self-conscious about getting the treatment done; I wanted my journey to remain private. She was not happy that I did not sign the waiver. I also clearly mentioned my biggest area of concern was the FUPA; the fat pack right below the stomach. During the treatment there were other staff members knocking on the door and she allowed them to open the door and talk freely while I was on the table undressed. I told her "I'm already in a vulnerable position and self-conscious about getting this treatment. Please do not expose me to additional people." She treated my stomach the entire session; towards the end of my time, I mentioned the importance of the FUPA again. She said she wasn't going to do that area. I reiterated the FUPA was the reason why I booked the treatment - if she had an issue with treating that area, she should have told me prior to beginning. She got extremely rude and said "you can talk to the manager!" I felt negative energy from the beginning of the session when she initially tried to force me to sign a picture waiver and now I could feel the negativity again. I feel she took advantage of me to make a quick dollar; knowing she had no plans to treat my areas of concern. I felt I was being discriminated against. I'm not sure if she treats all men in this manner or only a certain demographic. I would have rated one star, but the nice lady at the front desk deserved an extra star. After my treatment she listened to my concerns and said the owner would call me later that day. I never received a call, but this is the holiday season; understandable if she was busy. I elected to give the extra tip to the lady at the front desk in lieu of the staffer that serviced me. I don't want to cast any aspersions on the entire company, however, certain customers might conflate this one bad employee as an indictment against the entire establishment. I have researched body contouring for a few months; I finally built enough confidence to be vulnerable enough for someone else to see my body and treat me. I was excited and planned to incorporate contouring into my weight loss journey 4-5 times a month. Now I don't feel safe anymore about getting this treatment done. I only feel disrespected. Please do better to be more inclusive. Happy holidays... Show more
