I had a really bad ski accident 18 months ago and have been in physical therapy ever since. I “graduated” from PT but my shoulder and back still didn’...t feel quite right. In fact my entire right side felt out of tune with the left. I was referred to Richard by an acquaintance and decided to give acupuncture a try. The tightness and tension was significantly reduced after 1 visit where he did a combination of massage, acupuncture and cupping. After 2 visits, I knew something was working because I was able to start light running and lifting with almost full range of motion in my shoulder. I’ve been to 4 visits now and I feel remarkably better. Richard is an amazing acupuncturist. Show more

Booking online was easy. I was immediately greeted with a smile by Richard himself and made to feel at home right away. The environment was very calmi...ng, Richard listened intently and was very direct about what he thought he may or may not accomplish to help me. He used cups, needles and massage. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Richard's humor put me right at ease. I told him I dozed off twice while he was attending to other clients and letting the treatment work for me. He laughed and made some remark about people usually dozing off when he was telling stories. Funny guy. He said something about treating spleen. Afterwards, I looked up on a TCM website how spleen relates to the entire body system. Reading what emotions and behaviors are associated with spleen was kind of dope slap for me... in a good way! I went in with a specific request. It was longshot. I never said anything about what life challenges currently confront me. In hindsight, treating spleen was perfect. I don't know what else he was treating, but I walked out of there feeling really grounded, if not a little sad... which was somehow okay. I welcomed the emotion and let it pass. Not wanting to sound cryptic, but sometimes a person thinks they know what they want, but might not know what they need. (Rolling Stones song reference here) Apparently, at least this time, Richard did know. Definitely 5 stars. Show more
