So I left home on the East Coast needing a cut. I don’t cheat on my barber, but thought…Ok it is the last day of Black History Month, I am not spendi...ng money in anything, but black owned small businesses today. Now…Barbershops can be dicey figuring out what dude is the one to let touch your head. Everyone can cut hair, BUT NOT EVERYONE CAN CUT HAIR! I checked Walter’s Booksey reviews 4.9 and also feel like the dudes who open up the shop and are first chair are often a good bet! Well, today I hit the jackpot. Shop was clean, very representative of black barbershops, so I felt right at home. It was obvious the shop is dope. Walter was a Pro. He peaced me up. He asked the right questions from the start and knew what he was doin. He was engaging and we chatted about things… Wish I lived out here because he would be my guy! Do yourself a favor…don’t worry about any of the other chairs…Wait for Walter’s chair. Get in Booksey and lock your appt in. One thing that is a sign of a man with character is integrity….This is sample. I am from out of town. I made an appt before I got there. Walter was finishing a “regular” of his I am sure. There was a brother waiting for him when J came in. Walter honored my Appt because the other brotha, who he knew also, was a “walk in”. That shows respect for my time and me as a customer even though I was an “out of town-er” “non-regular”. I have been in black barbershops my whole life and often I would have been made to wait even though I had an appt. Walter is a Black Business Owner and will continue to be successful with this kind of spirit. Now, go get your cut! Show more
