1. He was late for both appointments. 2. He complained about past barbers, the prices of haircuts these days, and how picky he is about his hair.. right. 3. His general conversation was strange to the point of being uncomfortable. It's fair to say I'm not completely surprised at this review based on my experience of him after 2 services. 4. He came back in about 20 minutes after the 2nd haircut on Oct 16th (not Oct 9th the date of his original 5-star review and has now decided to edit today.) to say I 'nicked his mustache'. Another barber and I couldn't see anything, at all! He proceeded to ask for additional enhancements and not only for the 'nick'.. right. At this point, I asked my colleague if he would assist because I had a client in my chair by then. Admittedly, I was pretty annoyed. As he was leaving, he said he'd be back next week. I told my colleague when he booked again that I planned to have a conversation with him about professional boundaries, my concerns about continuing to be his barber, and that maybe I just wasn't a good fit for him. 5. There are several reasons I maintain a 5-star average. I love what I do, and it consistently shows in my work. I'm not exactly sure what his issue really is, but I'm beyond confident it's not the cuts he got. Insinuating I can't cut 'black men's hair' though? Wow. Original 5-star review read: Great service, and pays great attention to detail with no rush ensuring customer satisfaction at the highest level. Thanks man.
