Single Process Color Partial Highlight

I came back and edited this because at the time I was very emotional. There was no malice and I am sure the stylist wanted things to look great but ...I think she was stretched too thin having booked 4 clients at the same time and she was the only one there. Poor thing was running around washing my hair, blow drying someone else, it was frantic. I was getting pretty nervous as I never had foils in for over an hour. I did check in with her saying "I never had highlights take this long" but she said it was fine. I did tell her that I use root touch up color in between colorings. I have for over 25 years without issue.( *see salon response, root touch-ups always done on sideburn area of face, not whole head application. And...my updated hair looks as fantastic as it always does.) Stylist was concerned it would affect her process. I was not, as I have my hair done every 4 weeks without issue. After 5+ hours, the end results were not good at all, she admitted that the highlights were wrong but said the color didn't work due to my box color. I will attach images. She asked me to come back the next day Monday, 9:30 to fix my hair. She told me the fee was $300. I didn't want to pay, but was too upset and I needed her to fix my disaster situation. At the time I said okay... and for the first time in my life - I was that person who "cried on my way home." When I got home my husband said I need to go to a professional colorist and a reputable salon and not go back to the place that messed it up. I will attach image of me cancelling the appointment. I said I would like $200 refunded and they can keep $100 as I did get a trim and for the stylists time. The owner refused stating they would fix it. Please read the salon's response to this review. She states the stylist waited and I was a no-show. (see a screenshot of my text to her at 8:12 AM to cancel my appointment). "All liars... lie to protect themselves, to shield their egos from the raw pain of truth." Really no reason to lie, just don't say anything if you don't like the conversation...but lying is just poor form. In follow up-color corrected by Edmund James Salon in Palm Beach Gardens-pics attached (under $300 in an amazing salon). Have to go back for another dark glaze (at no charge in a few weeks to deepen the color). I don't expect anything for free...if I did I would have asked for all my money back. Based on her replies her character is clear, and I have a lesson learned. I wish the circumstances were different for all. God bless. Show more

Thank you for this looong review, we were expecting you this morning, and as I explained to you that I wanted to look at your hair and corrected what you weren't happy with, the stylist that did your hair was also at the salon waiting for you. If there was something wrong with the color, you had shown up this morning for your appointment! Unfortunately, we don't reimburse money back to someone that wants a free service. I hope you are feeling better now that you came back to edit your review and add more lies, you have been using box color for 25 years and that's why you never had any problems, and now that you had to PAY for a service you all of the sudden don't like the color when this is the color you asked for! Well, I hope this made your day.
