She did an amazing job accommodating my family and I could tell that she truly did care. I have never met such a kind and empathetic soul. I throughly enjoyed my first experience with Ai. She is a very beautiful, kind and caring, extremely intelligent and empathic woman. I felt very heard... and seen by her and she genuinely wants to help me. I am feeling better even after that one session of acupuncture, cupping, and breath work. We focused on my organ alignment and liver pulse (which is sluggish) tension in my back of neck and skull and resetting my face (it’s offset from some of the seizures) I plan on returning to see her weekly for the next 3-6 weeks for 90 minute sessions. I don’t usually give reviews but after the acupuncture sessions I have had recently with Ai Kakuta I had to let everyone know how much it has and is h...elping me in so many ways. I live with chronic neck and shoulder pain and the stress and anxiety that comes from my pain on a daily basis. I have been to many doctors and have had many procedures to help get some relief but I haven’t had much luck. I decided to try the Boulder Japanese Acupuncture and had a wonderful experience. Ai was very knowledgeable and professional and treated my whole body from my chronic pain, digestive issues and nervous system overload all at the same time while doing a acupuncture facial on me using micro-current frequency. I felt tiny pulsating sensations on my face all the while feeling very relaxed. I feel renewed after each visit. It was such a wonderful experience that I am incorporating it into my wellness routine. My digestive issues have calmed down and I’m feeling less stressed and my sleep has been better. She also treated the pain I was having from a bakers cyst on knee and after the first treatment I have had no pain when I walk. Ai Kakuta is a warm, knowledgeable and skillful practioner. After just one session, I felt a significant improvement physically and an immense sense o...f inner well-being. During my acupuncture treatment, I could feel the subtle movement of energy moving through my body. My muscle aches melted away and other more mysterious physical symptoms, like my ability to regulate my body temperature also improved immediately. Ai is extremely talented in her work. There is an intuitive nature to her practice. Ai went places that have been a problem source for me over the yea...rs with no prior knowledge. Ai Kakuta is a masterful healer. I cannot recommend her enough. She knows exactly what to look for to find the root cause of discomfort, illness, or w...hatever it is you are seeking healing for. I had surgery on my wrist about a year ago but still have pain when I put pressure on it in a certain way; acupuncture has helped in aiding my body to heal itself so much. I also have been coming for relief from back pain (which is almost always immediate during a treatment session). The modality I am most floored by though is facial acupuncture. I didn't realize that acupuncture can improve skin laxity and texture and I'm so impressed with the results on my face. The anti-aging effects are phenomenal. I go to Boulder Japanese Acupuncture every week. Ai is a true master of her craft who has intensely studied the great masters of eastern medicine of ...the past and present. She can move the energy in my body at will to whatever area needs a little help. Whether I'm dealing with sports injuries, lung or allergy issues, stress, or digestive issues, the treatment is always perfectly tailored to my needs. The Japanese style of acupuncture is so gentle, but still highly effective. I rarely even feel the needles at all. I think this is due to Ai's amazing technique and also the Japanese style of needle being smaller. Her utilization of micro current is also second to none! The equipment she has for this is far more sophisticated than any I've seen before. I particularly love the way Ai does cupping. Her method is unlike any other I've experienced. She is able to remove so much stagnation in my body and the technique she uses doesn't leave the intense purple marks on my back like I've experienced with others. Show more

I'm always looking for ways to mitigate the effects of aging on my face and this modality is a winner for combating skin laxity. She's also a masterful eastern medicine healer. She knows exactly how to get to the root of whatever pain, illness or ailment you are dealing with.
