There's nothing Kathy and her clients deserve more than an honest and thorough review. First and foremost, I met Kathy way back at a different salon w...ith every intention that it'll be a client/customer relationship but it grew into much more than that. With still the same respect as a client, she has offered me coffee/food and a safe place to vent and be myself. There's been moments that I know she's tired but the energy is still there. She also has let me doze off, be quiet and dissociate after a long day of work. Being in a customer centered job myself, I hope to offer her the same safe place. Much like the rest of us, we have days where we complain about our jobs and how tired we are, and that is okay! I am grateful for you! Secondly, she is an amazing artist! For several years I would show her a design and she will instantly just do it. Her quick thinking is always so impressive! I call her an artist because she's not just a nail tech that does, she is a nail tech that takes pride in her work and makes sure she represents well for herself. I have been in healthcare for so long and Kathy's work/product is the only one that withstand plenty of SaniWipes and harsh chemicals. I can go from 4 up to 8 weeks without it breaking off or chipping!!! I could probably go longer if needed! Lastly, Kathy's business have grown so much and I am so happy and proud of her! Even so, she has accommodated me plenty of times from coming earlier than scheduled, cancelling because I'm sick or just because I am a last minute person and book a little too late sometimes. She has never treated me differently or taken advantage of me because we have worked together for years. I respect her time and dedication to all her loyal and new clients! Show more

Kathy IS the best out there. I’ve been going to her since May of last year and she’s the only person who has made my nails (hands AND feet) look amazi...ng. I get compliments from the contractors at work all the time about how beautiful her work is. Kathy is very thorough and gives the best service anyone can ever give. I have never in my adult life had a gel manicure last more than a week until I started getting them done with Kathy. Now my nails last as far as 6 weeks. This is the healthiest I’ve ever seen my nails in my entire life. I travel out of my way to get my nails done because she is WORTH the drive and time. ALWAYS impeccable, and her attention to detail is SUPERB! She NEVER disappoints!! I had tried several nail techs prior to Kathy, and none had ever delivered the quality of service Kathy provides. I’ve been a VERY supportive client for years but unfortunately the customer service you once got from Kathy is not the same and I would not return on ...that basis. I was so proud of Kathy finding her new space that I gifted her flowers when she moved her business to East Orange and always thought she would be the one to do my wedding nails one day. I will never undermine Kathy’s talent but the customer service has become intolerable, whether or not people realize it because a sweet face that is put on. I can name Kathy’s clients that she has talked poorly about because of how often I have heard those names. Names that I see have written multiple positive reviews. You should not be speaking poorly about your customers to other customers, complaining about them all the time and then proceeding to smile in their face. Every Instagram post is a complaint about having to work early for clients or having a long day. Yes, we all have long days at work for the jobs that we sign up for. You cannot charge a client excessively because of how “long” an appointment takes due to your own pace and taking phone calls and stopping to text during client’s appointments. It’s unfortunate but Kathy’s touch is lost and I will not be returning. I ask you to fix 1 nail on a $100 set that literally just had glitter and some snowflakes because the nail broke less than 24 hours later and I receive an attitude and disrespect. You have literally started my appointments late because you were fixing other client’s nails (which I have never had a problem with) but with me it is a problem apparently to fix 1 nail when I have never bothered you when my nails break. This is the first time I’ve asked in 4 years. You don’t even open the door for me and then you roll your eyes at me several times when I come in to fix my nail when you are the one who told me exactly when to come. I would also hope all my photos are no longer used to advertise your business. Please remove them. I will gladly find a nail tech that appreciates her clientele. I’m sure you will have an influx of people posting positive reviews to get this one hidden but it does not change that this is a very real review. Show more
