Overall just a weird experience. I got a haircut form him before and it was good and he was chill. I schedule a new one with him and he reschedules wh...ich is totally fine, I’m understandable and flexible. We confirm for Monday 3:30. I’m driving from Downey so it’s about an hour and a half drive. I let him know I’m on my way and he responds etc.. acknowledging this. I show up at 3:32 the door is locked. I text him and called him no answer. I drove all the way just for the haircut for him to ghost me. I have him the benefit of the doubt to explain by the end of the day that and it’s the next day and he hasn’t said anything. Just overall confused asf haha, I am not sure why he made me come all the way and confirmed everything if he couldn’t cut my hair. If he just asked to reschedule again i would’ve been cool with it but I was not cool with him making me drive 3 total hours for nothing. I’m pretty understanding too so I just don’t know what happened Show more

Allow me the opportunity to be respectful of your time. It is critical that I share with you, the sincere experience of my visit to Thee Birdhouse. Fi...rst and foremost, prior to 2017 I regularly visited Bird for my hair appointments. From 2017 till 2024, I felt like a nomad trying to find a hidden oasis where I could get a good cup of water or in this situation a good haircut. I went to the East Coast. I went to the south and then I came back to the west. I’ve had my haircut in Lebanon and I’ve had my haircut in Jordan and I’ve had my haircut in France. Beyond my human limitations to explain, I must confess that there is no barber that is, in possession of a higher quality of craft than Anthony, or as most of you know him as Bird. You must be aware you are in the presence of a master of barbering when you sit in his chair. I live in Ventura County now, and I was pulling my own teeth trying to find a barber that could somewhat kind of replicate what Anthony used to do. But eventually I fold it and said let me try to find this guy online because I don’t have social media. I have been getting my haircut by “BIRD” since roughly 2010. Not once has he missed a haircut I’ve given him. I’ve literally given him every kind of h...aircut to cutt on my head. From undercuts, to fohawks to vintage style cuts to European style cuts to shaved heads to Cesar’s to tapers to lineups you name it I’ve done it and every time he has cutt it in a way that always looks great and if it was something I didn’t communicate correctly he has made it look better than what I wanted. Hurry up and book him. One of the best in the valley hands down. Show more
