Sunny has cut my hair 3 times, and she's been consistent. I was skeptical at first since it was a new place and with a new barber. On the first visit, I can give Sunny partial credit for her barber-ship skills with Afro-American hair, but I would not recommend this barbershop for ...Black people. This barbershop is full of stares and absolute discomfort if you are not a Spanish speaking individual. Having my 12-year-old daughter tagging along we thought we were gonna have a great Saturday full of vibes I’m upset the tension was so thick in the room from our presence. My daughter felt the vibe and wanted to leave. She almost had an anxiety attack because these people would not stop staring at her stop saying rude derogatory remarks in Spanish over her heads, unbeknownst to those barbers, my daughter is part Hispanic My daughter felt like she was gonna be harmed when I left to use the restroom, from the barber chair my daughter watched as the lead barber followed me to the restroom and attempted to open the door without knocking as an attempt to rush me out of their establishment. In no way was our presence a threat or even boastful. Just a father and his child paying for a service. I sat in silence disturbed, at this. I can’t imagine why we were treated with racism. it was just a very horrible experience A Barbershop is a place of service for the community and for anybody who wants to get a cut. Whether black, white asian or Hispanic. Everyone should be-able to get cut in comfort and not be treated unequally due to their skin color I feel this is really bogus and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BARBERSHOP FOR ANY AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE especially if you are with your CHILDREN. SHOULDNT HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHY WE WERE TREATED UNFAIRLY TO MY CHILD. S.N SUNNY black hair is not nappy, black hair is thick and Curley. Smh Do better universal barbershop Show more
