Medium Loc Maintenance

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, and book an appointment literally anywhere but here. Here’s the story: I scheduled an appointment online in advance to have m...y starter locs retwisted. Shortly afterwards, I paid a deposit equal to 50% of the service cost directly to the master stylist (Aleta) who was scheduled to do my hair. The day of my appointment, I arrived on time. I was greeted by 2 stylists who were not Aleta. I was told Aleta was not available which was news to me. The 2 stylists then started arguing with each other right in front me (and 2 other clients who were in the shop) about who was going to retwist my locs because they both wanted the money. After about 15 mins after my appointment time, they finally settled on who would be doing it. The stylist washed my hair incorrectly, and unraveled close to half of my locs. When she finally started my hair, she combed out 2 of my back rows ruining the progress made with my loc formation which I specifically asked her not to do. It was at this point I should have walked out. She then told me she would be back after washing and blow drying someone else’s hair. I sat in the chair waiting for another 20 mins. I eventually walked out of the salon frustrated and disappointed. I am writing this review after retwisting my hair myself and losing my $50 deposit. I wouldn’t return to this salon if someone paid me to. 0/10 experience. I only gave them 1 star in this review because 0 wasn’t an option. Show more

Horrible! I booked an appointment for a stitch braid ponytail. I explained this to the (scheduler) person on the phone (Aletha). Plus when I went in p...erson the same day to pay the REQUIRED DEPOSIT I tried to explain it to Niemah (I was blew off by her saying oh no show your style when you come in). Then when I came in for my actual appointment I showed NIEMAH again, plus she took a PICTURE!LESS THAN 20 BRAIDS COST 100$ extra for thigh length or 200$ extra dollars for calf length! Plus all this money I couldn’t or didn’t get one receipt! I sat for over five hours to have that lady Niemah playing in my hair. Not to mention when I came to my appointment on time. She was sitting down eating as if she didn’t know she had an appointment at three pm. She wasted my hair and my product! I didn’t get my refund for neither. Once I seen my hair felt the braids and checked what time it was I was beyond disappointed and frustrated! If you couldn’t do it that’s all you had to say and return my money! But for me to sit down for hourssssssssss to get this in return is beyond unprofessional! Then Niemah and Aletha treated me like a unpaid rude customer. When you have to PAY FRIST PLUS I GAVE A TIP BEFORE SEEING HER WORK! Over a hundred dollars that I gave them I was treat like a rabbit chasing a carrot. They both truly acted as if they gave me an amazing service- yet I was trippin’ (WHICH THAT WASN’T THE CASE AT ALL). The owner was 45 minutes away and expected/ wanted me to sit and wait for her! Like huh?. I came back the next day on time everyone in the shop looked at me I called the owner she wouldn’t answer. If you want some one to rip your hair out, play in your hair for hours, has on glasses and still can’t part a straight line. Lazy needed to sit down which is fine but was to lazy to turn the chair! Instead she opted to pull my hair. If you want to have to work even if you paying her perfectly fine. If you don’t mind having to hold your hair because this person has no respect for you or your hair. If you want someone to text and pull your hair she’s the one. Niemah is the perfect person for you.
