This was my first time experience with Ruth, and I’m so happy I chose to book with her. Prior to booking with her I had a very horrible experience som...ewhere else that also caused damage to my hair. It took me some time to get enough courage to try Braids again, but Ruth really made me comfortable. She really understood the texture of my hair so she explained the appropriate size of Braids for my hair, and I just had an amazing experience. Please if you are looking get to booking!!! This was my first time adding in human hair boho pieces... so I was a little nervous about the overall tightness and how heavy my head would feel with all the added hair. Ruth complained the entire braiding session. My 4c hair texture, thick density, and large head made her job harder. She ranted about accepting the cor...nrow style and stated several times “ she may not finish” and “ should have told me NO” After telling Ruth I didn’t want individuals in the back, she put individual braids anyway. I wanted shoulder length braids but ended up with mid back braids. It took 7 hours for small straight backs. Don’t book the wash. If you have a small head and the hair texture she prefers, you’ll have a better experience. I agree with the hair texture complaining and unprofessional attitude that was mentioned, in the other negative reviews. Ruth, please remember you too can make your clients uncomfortable with your negative words and energy. Just like that one male client male you uncomfortable; so you stopped doing males hair. You made me very uncomfortable. Show more

I am sorry you felt like I was complaining, you asked me the type of heads I like doing cornrows on and I gave u an honest answer. You took offense in my honest response and call it for complaining. Yes I went out of my way to do you a style u didn’t book for cuz I was being nice and only to get this cuz I charged you extra. Mentioning why I stopped doing male clients was not necessary cuz u don’t know nothing about me or what happened with him.
