I recently visited Queen New York Beauty Salon to have my nails done, and I must say, the experience with Tuli, their nail technician, was absolutely ...phenomenal. Tuli is a true gem—skilled, professional, and such a pleasure to work with. I always take my whole family to this salon because of their talented staff. My husband gets his hair cut, my son and daughter get their hair done, and I’ve always been impressed with the quality of their services. However, my most recent visit left me with mixed feelings. While Tuli was excellent as always and even encouraged me to try a treatment and cornrows for my hair, the experience took a disappointing turn. I had booked appointments for myself and my daughter to undo our hair and soak off her nails for school. Unfortunately, when the time came for my hair treatment, I encountered a disgruntled staff member who refused to treat my hair and do wig lines, stating that I had specifically booked Ryan for the task. Instead of offering a solution, there was unnecessary drama, and no one seemed willing to step in and resolve the situation. It was only after the boss arrived that the staff member reluctantly agreed to treat my hair. By then, Ryan had already undone my hair, and her unwillingness to initially help left me feeling frustrated. It didn’t feel right to have her plait my hair after such a poor experience, as it seemed she was only doing it to save face in front of her boss. While I truly appreciate Tuli’s dedication and the overall talent in the salon, this experience has left a bitter taste and confirmed my previous reservations about getting my hair done there. Professionalism and a customer-centric approach should be consistent across the entire team, not just dependent on one amazing staff member or the presence of management. I hope the salon addresses this kind of behavior to ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience, just like Tuli ensures in her work. Show more
