I'm generally happy whenever I go to The Moisture Factory. However, today I was really frustrated, I had a 12pm appointment with Gladys. It seems she ...was overbooked because I waited until about 1:45pm for a stylist to touch my head. At first it was Gladys herself, but then she stopped to attend to another client. I ended up having my hair done by a stylist I don't know and who I'm not really comfortable with. Long story short, I'm frustrated, I planned my day to be done at the saloon at least at 2pm, however I ended up finishing at 4:30pm. My whole day gone...... I am usually very understanding, however, in future if the hair stylist is running behind, please consider calling to move the appointment out. I will rather wait comfortably at my home. Show more

I did my hair on the 22nd of February, Hair looked nothing like what I had requested, I spent R850 on tribal and wanted curls, they did not have curls...… the lines are fat, it felt rushed as the lady was rushing for another client. When I said I’m sad they don’t have curls she tells me I must tell them in advance… with all due respect why do I have to do that? The length is also very short this time, I drove 30km to this salon leaving the salons in my area as i really like what they do with natural hair but this time i got short changed, when the owner is not here the ladies that work there always up the prices. This is the first time I’m unhappy with the service. Very disappointed. Show more

Hi , apologies for that . You will note that we do not have braids with curls on our menu because we need to know what curls to purchase . There are different kinds of curls in the market for different looks . We do request that clients send photos of what they want so that it’s ready when they come . Apologies again for your experience

I booked an appointment on the 7/02/25 for my daughter to do tribal braids and it is the first time that I'm not happy, the hairstyle I requested was... total different and nothing were explained to me and again I requested that they should do the cornrows with hair own her instead they used the hairpiece, her scalp was pulled to such an extent that she even encountered some sores.to be honest paying 650 for hairstyle like that was not fair and I Just don't know maybe the stylist was tired because the appointment was in the afternoon Show more

The work looks amazing even though they did not follow the pic i showed them. My baby was happy. However a day later the beads are coming off and the ...braid tying the two pom poms is coming off. I have to make shift tie them myself as they are now closed. Not really happy with that. Show more
