Absolutely wonderful. I traveled quite far for this appointment and will be doing it again. My first time having a long haired cat and I knew I needed... to do something to help her with her fur around her backside but didn’t know where to start. Bark&Claw was recommended to me and I had a very thorough chat with Maria before booking as I wasn’t sure what I needed to book to get the right treatment for my kitten. She suggested I book ‘the fluffy ones’ appointment so that it would cover the appointment and she’d do a hygiene trim and whatever else my kitten would allow. The appointment itself was calm and Maria took her time to speak to me about my kitten before I left and she fully explained her plans to me and gave me an idea of the time she’d need and suggested shops nearby for me to pass the time in since I was so far from home. She phoned just before she was finished so I had time to get back to the salon. I arrived to find my kitten laid back relaxing in the little blow drying machine Maria has. My kitten was even more relaxed than when I dropped her off. Maria explained the entire appointment to me and what my kitten tolerated and didn’t tolerate! Clearly she had taken time to put my kitten at ease and I really appreciate this. She only charged me for what she got done, not for the time slot appointment I had booked, which I thought was very decent of her. She suggested ways I can help my kitten get more comfortable for the next appointment and even showed me some at-home shampoos I can use if my kitten gets herself in a mess! The shave was brilliant and my kitten is so much more comfortable and has a lot less things sticking to her belly and backside now! It is so reassuring that my kitten came away happy and content and with a wonderful hygiene trim! Thoroughly worth the trip and the money. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
