Couldn’t recommend more! My young son has suspected SEN and hates getting his hair cut which can make it quite stressful. We’re never made to feel bad... or like it’s a problem if he’s distressed, even if it does make the cut difficult to do. My son has had hair cuts by Lisa and Gemma, both have managed amazing finishes, despite him being very wriggly! The staff are wonderful at interacting with the children and try everything possible to make it a smooth, enjoyable experience for all. My daughters have both had lovely cuts here as well. Wouldn’t take my little ones elsewhere! Fantastic team who are all so welcoming and friendly. Show more

Absolutely the best place ive ever taken my lil dude for a hair cut! So welcoming and friendly, They made him feel comfortable and the lovely lady (so...rry cant remember her name but she was blonde) who cut his hair has done a fantastic job and he looks so grown up now! Highly recommend bertie and bell to anyone with little ones! Even older one's they adapt to any kids needs ❤️❤️ thankyou so much! ❤️ also the guy who works here to is absolutely hilarious! My little one’s second visit here and he loved it. Gemma cut his hair and she created such a lovely little bond with my little one to make him feel at... ease and sit still for his cut. He looks so handsome and grown up now and Gemma really took onboard every bit of information we told her from the type of cut we wanted to my little one’s temperament today and worked with that. It was just okay. I felt like it was quite a rushed experience unfortunately. There was some confusion on timings and the person we were meant to be ...booked in with was still cuttting another child's hair which was fine and we were happy to wait. Another lady stepped in whilst she was waiting for her client to arrive. My child has suspected ASD and therefore I made notes on the booking so they knew this. He hates clippers and normally can tolerate scissors. I appreciate they wanted to see if he would let them use clippers, but he freaks out and then no longer trusts people so this made his experience start off quite negative. She did manage to get him to sit for a scissor cut however he does have the odd long bit by his ears and on his neck. They did offer for me to come in tomorrow to have that bit done but I do not live locally. I do feel that if they had utilised the whole 30 minute appointment as I booked a wiggly hair cut for a reason, and perhaps an initial conversation with me about what works and what he does not like we maybe would have had a more positive experience and I would have felt more at ease as well as my son feeling more comfortable, we also may have got his ears sorted with the scissors if we had more time and maybe a few breaks. The next client then came in half way through and I just felt like our time was over, even though we had only been sat in the chair for 10 minutes or so. It is a shame, as I was praying this might be a better experience and willing to drive 40 minutes for it, but sadly I do think it was worth it. I can imagine if you have a child that does not mind having their hair cut, this would be an amazing place. The chairs are amazing and the balloons after are a hit, but just sadly feel like my son needs more time, more breaks, and my notes listened too as I dont want to make it worse for him. Show more

5 stars - The staff here are absolutely fantastic, they are so patient with 'wiggly' kids who don't enjoy haircuts. Its a calm atmosphere, you dont fe...el rushed and they've thought of everything from the car chairs, a choice of gowns, tablets, toys, balloons, stickers and biscuits. Show more
