My son is autistic and at the age of 7 has not let anyone else touch his hair. They were very good at distracting him with a football computer game an...d got a full hair cut, which I didn’t expect to happen on his first visit at all. Very pleased with the experience and we will certainly be back and recommend them to others. Show more

This was my daughter’s first hair cut and I was really impressed with our first experience at Bertie and Belle. I had prompt communication before the... appointment. When we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. They reassured my daughter as she was a little nervous. She was offered a choice of car seats and was also offered toys, books and a tablet (kids YouTube). Sarah did a lovely cut and I’d requested hair tinsel to be added. These looked lovely and were tied rather than clammed to stop any damage to the hair. Unfortunately with an active toddler only a few remained by the following day. I wonder if adding them to hair extension clips could be an option. I also enquired about hair chalks which they are looking in to. As part of the package she was also given a certificate with her picture and a lock of her hair. During our visit I was offered a drink and my daughter was offered a sticker and balloon which was lovely. We will definitely be returning again in the future. If you haven’t been before they do have a toilet if you have a potty training child. Show more

A warm welcome when we arrived and everyone there was very friendly. The salon was clean. My daughter enjoyed being able to watch an iPad with her cho...ice of programme and her hair was cut very well with care being taken to get it just right which I really liked. A nice extra touch being rewarded with a balloon and sticker when we left, we’ll return 🙂 Show more

This was our first time at Bertie and Belle, very warm welcoming environment for children. Haircut was excellent, time taken and the stylist checked t...hat I was happy with it afterwards. Staff lovely. Nice set up. Gutted the printer didn’t work and was promised that my son’s first hair cut would have been sent to me but never received ...it. If you go and this happens to you then take the hair as it’s something you can’t replace. Won’t be returning Show more

Bertie and Belle were very friendly and welcoming on our first kids haircut with them. They offered my son an iPad to watch and the lady, I think her ...name was Natalie was very patient with my son who’s Autistic and finds sitting for a long time challenging. I always show my son photos of where we are going to prepare him and familiarise him and on the website it shows lollipops which he thought he’d get at the end so that did cause some upset and I had to find the nearest sweet shop 🤣 Show more

This was the second time visiting and let me just say I won’t be returning again. I think her name was Kate, her English is dreadful, huffing and puff...ing because my son wouldn’t sit still, he is 2 years old of course he is going to move about, the hair cut is dreadful so uneven and unblended, she couldn’t understand my request, all I wanted for my son is short back and side! didn’t interact with my son at all, just an all round bad experience. I paid and just left but I’m so disappointed as the first experience there was lovely couldn’t fault Natalie one bit Show more

Such a lovely children’s hairdressers! My son loved having his haircut and the entertainment of a choice of any car he wanted to sit in. The people wh...o work here are ever so friendly and really made us feel at home as well as Hunter. Definitely recommend for a babies first haircut and we will be returning! Show more

Absolutely recommend! Our 2 year old's experience was great. Natalie was fab; she was very patient and cut his hair beautifully. Our son loved the car... and sat still with the tablet for most of the cut. I think the best part for him was the balloon he got afterwards lol he's still playing with it hours later. What I particularly liked was how easy the appointment was to book. My son has long curly hair and when looking at other businesses I have to select 'boy' or 'girl' cut and I never know which one to choose. Here it's just 'child 's cut'. Nice and simple! Thank you Natalie for showing us how to care for his curly hair and also for moving our appointment to an available earlier slot! We'll be back 😊 Show more
