I booked my 20 month old daughter in for a wriggly cut with Svetlana. Her English/communication is awful. My daughter was told off for not sitting sti...ll so I moved her to sit on my lap to try and make things easier. She has completely ruined my daughter’s fringe, the hair cut is hideous. Our first visit to Bertie and Belle was lovely and welcoming. Today I wasn’t so happy. The lady’s English was awful. I tried to explain my son has ad...hd and struggles to sit still. Also tried to explain the hair cut he wanted. Very little English so she couldn’t understand a word I was saying. Left not fully satisfied with the hair cut as I was getting more frustrated trying to explain. My youngest was booked in after and I told her I didn’t want the cut judging from my eldest hair cut I wasn’t impressed Show more

Great haircut for my 3-year-old boy, this is the 4th salon I've tried with him and it's the best. He generally sits still when given a toy/screen to d...istract him, but the others would still hack it off in 5mins, no styling no care. Here they genuinely spent their time and styled him properly. My son is autistic and at the age of 7 has not let anyone else touch his hair. They were very good at distracting him with a football computer game an...d got a full hair cut, which I didn’t expect to happen on his first visit at all. Very pleased with the experience and we will certainly be back and recommend them to others. Show more

This was my daughter’s first hair cut and I was really impressed with our first experience at Bertie and Belle. I had prompt communication before the... appointment. When we arrived the staff were friendly and welcoming. They reassured my daughter as she was a little nervous. She was offered a choice of car seats and was also offered toys, books and a tablet (kids YouTube). Sarah did a lovely cut and I’d requested hair tinsel to be added. These looked lovely and were tied rather than clammed to stop any damage to the hair. Unfortunately with an active toddler only a few remained by the following day. I wonder if adding them to hair extension clips could be an option. I also enquired about hair chalks which they are looking in to. As part of the package she was also given a certificate with her picture and a lock of her hair. During our visit I was offered a drink and my daughter was offered a sticker and balloon which was lovely. We will definitely be returning again in the future. If you haven’t been before they do have a toilet if you have a potty training child. Show more

A warm welcome when we arrived and everyone there was very friendly. The salon was clean. My daughter enjoyed being able to watch an iPad with her cho...ice of programme and her hair was cut very well with care being taken to get it just right which I really liked. Bertie and Belle were very friendly and welcoming on our first kids haircut with them. They offered my son an iPad to watch and the lady, I think her ...name was Natalie was very patient with my son who’s Autistic and finds sitting for a long time challenging. I always show my son photos of where we are going to prepare him and familiarise him and on the website it shows lollipops which he thought he’d get at the end so that did cause some upset and I had to find the nearest sweet shop 🤣 Show more

This was the second time visiting and let me just say I won’t be returning again. I think her name was Kate, her English is dreadful, huffing and puff...ing because my son wouldn’t sit still, he is 2 years old of course he is going to move about, the hair cut is dreadful so uneven and unblended, she couldn’t understand my request, all I wanted for my son is short back and side! didn’t interact with my son at all, just an all round bad experience.
