What a great idea. Not a normal foodbank with just tins and packets of stodgy food, but one which collects food which would otherwise be thrown out bu...t is still usable. I paid my £3 and had a bag full of fruit and vegetables, some was definitely ready to eat now but others will last a little longer, some tins, some frozen food, bread, scones, rice milk, yoghurts, chocolate desserts and finally some Marks and Spencer flowers. Every week will be different depending on what has been offered but it will really help me to stretch the house keeping budget and to be able to afford to eat healthily . The staff were so friendly, efficient and matter of fact. They didn't make me feel ashamed to use the service or ask questions. Show more
