"Alright, buckle up buttercups, because I just emerged from the follicular wonderland that is Riley's chair, and let me tell you, my head feels like i...t just did a kickflip. This dude, Riley, is basically a hair-wielding ninja on a skateboard. Seriously, I'm pretty sure he uses ollies to get the perfect angle for those beard trims. He's got the chillest skater vibe, like he just rolled in from a half-pipe, but instead of shredding concrete, he's shredding split ends. I went in looking like a yeti who'd lost a fight with a lawnmower, and came out looking like I could star in a shampoo commercial... if that commercial was directed by Wes Anderson. He somehow managed to tame my unruly mane into something resembling actual style, and my beard? My beard now looks like it could judge a lumberjack competition. He's not just a wizard with scissors, though. He's also ridiculously good-natured. Like, I'm pretty sure he dispenses good vibes along with the hairspray. I spent the whole time laughing, mostly at his totally rad puns and the fact that he can somehow make a beard look "radically symmetrical." If you're looking for a hairdresser who can give you a killer cut while simultaneously making you feel like you're hanging out with your coolest, most talented friend, then Riley is your guy. Just be prepared to leave with a haircut that's so good, you'll be tempted to start doing kickflips yourself. And maybe also start a band.
