I booked a balayage appointment with Yasmin in April for July 11th and told her clearly I’d be travelling over 2 hours from Birmingham. I even confirm...ed the booking twice the week before, and she reassured me everything was fine. On the day, I was delayed due to unexpected traffic and an accident, but I kept her updated throughout the journey. When I was just 15 minutes away,after already driving over 2 hours, she messaged me saying to turn back and come another day. I still went to the salon, hoping she’d be understanding. She said she felt bad but told me to wait to see if her next client showed up. I waited around 20 minutes, and when that client turned up late, she took her in with no problem, after refusing to do my hair. I even offered to wash and dry my own hair to save time, but she wasn’t interested. She then said I’m not a hairdresser, so I wouldn’t know how long a balayage takes. I’ve been getting my hair done for years, so I know exactly how long it takes. I only went to her because she was recommended by a friend, little did I know how rude and dismissive she would be! Even the NHS gives a grace period when someone is running late, especially when they’ve kept staff informed. I wasn’t just a few minutes late, I had driven for over 2 hours and made every effort to keep her updated, yet was met with zero flexibility or understanding. After the long journey, time, and cost, I left with nothing done. No effort to accommodate me, no solution offered, and no proper apology! Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Show more
