Colour Consultation

Deeply disappointed. I travelled some quite considerable distance for a 15 minute colour consultation with Linda, having seen her recent shortlist...ing award. Unfortunately I was late through no fault of my own, but had telephoned ahead to advise I had been held up and was told it was; "no bother at all." The consultation fell far short of both my expectations and previous experiences. Conducted on the waiting area seats with her standing over me, she approached me and said; "Was it a colour consultation you wanted?" She had not even introduced herself, I had to ask who she was. She then asked; "what do you want?" Slightly taken aback, I replied I had booked a consultation to discuss it, but wanted to go lighter. Linda then declared she liked my natural colour, looking at me in a manner which implied I should leave well alone. She again asked me what I wanted, to which I again stated I had booked a consultation with the aim of discussing it in depth. Linda then peered briefly at my hair, poked at the roots and said she could; "just lighten the ends a bit for you and put a few very fine foils through to keep your natural colour." Within two minutes she was trying to book me for an appointment. No in-depth discussion, no colour chart, and I felt acutely uncomfortable throughout. I left feeling completely stunned and upset with such a sub-standard consultation which did not address my needs at all. If my lateness had caused a problem I would have preferred she been honest. However given there was only one other client in, I suspect that wasn't the issue at all. Show more

Hi Wendy , I’m very sorry you felt disappointed with your consultation, I feel this a very unfair review as this was not the case , My clients are always made to feel welcome and at ease in my salon as you can see from previous reviews. As you are aware I was running on a schedule and as you were late , which you had made me aware of , this had cut our consultation time short . For this Im very sorry for although that was not my fault . I’m obviously not the hairstylist for you as I don’t exceed your expectations so I wish you well and hope you find a salon to suit your needs . Thank you , Linda
