    • Competition Prep (Week 1)

      Competition preparation classes are for more experienced riders or anyone who has completed level 5 horsemanship. This is to get a feel for the competition world and learn what it entails from clipping, plating up and grooming to riding dressage tests, walking and riding courses in showjumping rings and learning the obstacles of cross country. They will progress on to travelling a horse to a small local show and attend bigger competitions on days out to spectate and learn (or if I’m competing can come with me for the day!)

    • Horsemanship (Week 1)

      Horsemanship sessions are for 5+years on weekend days Saturday/Sunday and are run on a 4 week block, the pony’s then have a week holiday and then start up again for another 4 week block. In the horsemanship sessions a club t-shirt is given at sign up and badges/certificates are earned when completing levels 1-5 which they can sew onto their little t-shirt! There will also be a booklet to work through with the stable management side of it then lessons in riding. We start at basics from grooming, feeding, paddock maintenance, stables jobs all the way through to injury, hoof care, behaviours, tack and fitness. It’s great for the kids to buddy up with more experienced peers to learn and make pony friends for life 😁🐴!

Amazing experience! My daughter had been out of the saddle for about a year but wanted to return to riding. Booked a 30 min lesson with Alison and my ...daughter immediately fell back in love with horse riding. Alison was very professional and listened to my daughter at all times. She took the lesson slow and at no time did she put her under pressure to do anything she wasn’t comfortable with. This certainly helped my daughter regain her confidence in the saddle quickly and at the end of the lesson she announced that her riding goal is to learn how to jump! The pony (Chief) was a wonderful little cob, who was perfectly matched for my daughter’s ability. Will certainly be returning for regular lessons. Show more
