      Want to take care of your legs and get rid of spider veins? Spider veins are like small varicose veins and are often found on the legs. They are also closer to the surface of the skin. They are red or purple. Likewise, they can look like tree branches or spider webs with short, jagged lines. Spider veins can be caused by hormonal changes, sun damage or local trauma. What does microsclerotherapy involve? Injection microsclerotherapy is a treatment for spider veins and involves injecting a chemical substance using a fine needle. Once the drug is injected, the vein shrinks, blood flow ceases in the vein and the vein ceases to be visible within a few days to a few weeks. Microsclerotherapy does not cause any serious complications and requires no special preparation on your part. How long does the treatment take? Depending on the size of the area and the number of veins to be treated, the procedure can take between 20 and 40 minutes. Recommendations: A minimum of two treatments for the thread vein area is recommended before any improvement can be seen. You may only need one session, however, it all depends on the number and severity of the veins. It may take several treatments to achieve the desired appearance. Inability to walk for any reason, Varicose veins requiring surgical/intravenous intervention. Varicose veins caused by pelvic/abdominal tumours. Currently, taking blood-thinning medication (e.g. Warfarin). Diabetes that is not well controlled. Heart disease. Diseases of the peripheral arteries. Kidney disease.
