We took both of our kids to Sniggles and Giggles, and it was such a positive experience! Our older child did great, while our little one was a bit hes...itant. But Ms. Stacey was incredible with both of them. She was patient, skilled, and kept the whole experience as calm and fun as possible. Even though our little one was fussy, Ms. Stacey managed to give them an adorable cut! Highly recommend her and this place, especially for kids who might not love haircuts! Show more

Oh my goodness! This is the first time I haven’t left in tears after my son got his hair cut! My son is 3 and has sensory issues. He screams and cries... the whole time. Ashifa reassured us and talked to him during his haircut. He cried significantly less with her. She was also very quick and did a wonderful job! Afterwards, he said, “the nice lady cut my hair”. I will start with the positives from our experience, my son’s haircut was done very quickly and turned out super cute. Unfortunately even with that, I... was very disappointed in my son’s experience here. My son does not like haircuts at all. His last few haircuts I have had my friend who does my hair, cut his bc she does a great job with being patient with him to get it cut and stopping as soon as he starts to act uncomfortable. It’s a process but I’m very thankful for her patience. Before I started having her do it I took him to a barber shop where he ended up having two traumatic experiences and so we’ve been working with him to get passed that. I decided at the last minute to have my son’s hair cut before vacation. My friend was out of town and I just so happen to come across this salon on Booksy when scheduling an appt elsewhere for my older son. The thing is, we live in Hammond and this would require a drive on my part. But upon reading the reviews AND seeing they offered a “TLC haircut” I was so excited thinking that I may have found a perfect salon for him, driving wasn’t an issue! We got there and were seen immediately which was another positive. But then as the stylist started cutting she showed nothing close to the TLC I expected. She went extremely fast and when my son got upset she didn’t do anything differently, not even trying to talk to him in a way to attempt to calm him down. She just had her AirPods in her ears the whole time rushing through getting his hair done. I ended up having to hold my son’s head still while he was screaming crying as she continued to hurry to get his haircut done. I was defeated. We literally took 12 steps back as far as getting him used to haircuts is concerned. Yes, I probably should have spoken up, but I was honestly just absolutely stunned that this is what I was witnessing after being so excited to bring him here and at that point I was ready to get him out of there and there wasn’t going to be any amount of TLC that was going to calm him down while he was still in that chair. I do notice that the owner is who is often mentioned in the glowing reviews so maybe be sure to schedule with her if you need your child to be with someone who will take their time and keep them as comfortable with the process as possible bc I can tell you the woman I had just wasn’t it. So TEN minutes of a half hour appt later I paid my $30 for a “TLC” haircut and got out of there. Show more
