I am fairly new to the area so it has been a struggle to keep up with my appearance like I'm used to. After a year of hair care in ABQ, I've finally c...ame here and it was the best experience I've had. I tried to start my loc journey but I had some unsatisfactory customer service and results at a local hair salon prior and I was helped tremendously and left with a big smile with the results. I love how my hair came out! I’ve had different kinds of sew ins done and Tatianna by far has done the best work hands down! She was so attentive and ...light handed. Love that this glue-less sew in is so easy to maintain. She has such a sweet personality that you can feel the good vibes through the room. Definitely will be back after my first time! Show more

Box Braids
Tahti is an amazing artist and perfects her work to the umpteenth power! She’s such a wonderful woman, very professional and personable. Very attentiv...e, doesn’t mess on her phone or step out on you randomly. It was my first appt with her and she got me as a forever client after the first hour. She was light handed and fast. No random pop up fees. What you see on her site is what you get. She also gave me great advice and teachings about my hair care, love love love her! You won’t regret your appt, I promise! And if you do, well you just a picky b that can’t read lol UPDATE: photos attached are six weeks after. Don’t come at me for my greys come at ya mama, but clearly her work lasts! If you take care of ‘em properly (easy work), ya braids will last as long as you need them too. Show more

UPDATE!!!!!! So this is my third time getting my hair box braided with Tatianna. The experience every time is great. Always on time, easy to schedule ...and she really listens to what you want done. My hair has gotten thicker and so much longer. It is right now the longest I have ever had it. I got it trimmed this time and my other stylist commented on how healthy my hair was and how much it grew. She barely had to trim the ends. Tatianna has definitely protected my hair and helped it become stronger and healthier. NOTE: there is another braider named Tatianna. Please make sure you are making sure when booking you are booking with the right person. The other girl is damaging peoples hair! Right now I'm rocking the gray with a little bit of purple and the complements have not stopped!! Absolutely love my braids!!!! Show more

Honestly I wasn’t gonna review this service. Just got an email asking to review whether it was positive or negative so here I go. I had my initial con...sultation showed her a picture, explained I have a brain injury and was not sure how to achieve the look I wanted. She convinced me she could achieve what I was asking for . We agreed on a price all good. Come time for my appointment her young daughter is there sick she threw up at least 3 times she was terribly sick and needed to be at home in bed. However, this women is a business women first, she didn’t care to be professional in the slightest. She continued to stop doing my hair clean up the throw up. Because she was so distracted with her child she pulled my hair so tight it left red bumps all over my scalp. I also let her know that I was unhappy with my hair and how it turned out, she offered to take it down for me and help install what I really wanted but ended up ghosting me. I would not recommend this place or this women. Show more

This is a shock to read these lies when these aren't the same words in your text. Too bad I can't post your text to Google. Per our text, after i did your hair, you sent me images from Amazon for the crochet locs that you wanted to try and I gave you the go ahead to get them. You stated, after you got home that you didn't like your style so i offered to do the crochet when they came in, since they were softer than the hand twisted Locs. You never advised me if they came in the mail. It's your responsibility to let me know so that I could've gotten you in. I didn't hear anything from you until seeing this review. I advised you at the consultation and after completing the first Loc what I recommended and what to expect from the style you chose. You wanted to proceed with your choice and ignored the initial suggestion to do the pretwisted locs or go shorter. You said you liked your style after I took pictures, before you walked out of my studio and after you walked out of the building. Stating you were thankful. You were also asked to notify me during the install if the twist were tight, which you did and which I loosened the tension. You did not notify me of tension afterwards, which is all in the booking guidelines that i sent to you. I could've loosened it for you had you communicated this concern. My child getting sick had nothing to do with your style choice.
Update: Amazing, as usual. Always helping me evolve my look and gets my vision 🤩 Baddest braider in NM! Period! Tahti is a very professional and tale...nted hair braider. She is great with my teen girls and seems to know exactly what look they are going for. They get compliments at school daily which has helped them feel super confident. She is also very reasonable with prices and knowledgeable about hair and scalp health with regards to braids. Show more
