I believe in giving African American business a try. I tried to give Victoria, the owner of The Nail Room, a chance to service me professionally and d...isplay her skills. She failed at both. After 3 visits with her, she was not only unprofessional but, lack customer service saviness. Victoria continuously remained on her phone the entire 2hrs she serviced me engaging in personal conversations and laughing with foul oral hygiene. In addition to being distracted by her personal cell phone, she is also careless with the nail filing drill as she has cut my skin and cuticles at least once during each of my 3 visits. On my last visit yesterday, I patiently waited until she ended her long conversation on her cellphone and I communicated to Victoria specifically what kind of designs I wanted (abstract). Victoria became very defensive and rude instead of just stating that she was inexperienced with abstract designs and was only savy with basic lines (which I did not like). I did communicate to her early in the visit that I was not happy with her nail art work as it was not what I wanted. Victoria stated that she wish I would just sit there & let her do what "she wanted" as this is what all her other clients do." I felt her defensive, harsh tone. I was so blown away with her tone and unprofessionalism. If I am a paying customer, I should not only receive what I booked and paid for but I also have a right to be respected when I communicate when I am dissatisified with my nails. I'm sorry I don't just sit & "let anyone do what they want." Unfortunately, it's not cute. I paid her even after she displayed a nasty attitude, even though my nails look terrible, her artwork is very elementary and she lacks customer service saviness. My polish is coming off after 24 hrs and I cannot contact her because she has blocked me from booking and contacting her. THAT'S GUILT! FURTHERMORE, this reflects her lack of professionalism as she fails to provide service recovery. She has lost a customer as I will never recommend or return to The Nail Room. There are so many other Nail technicians who are professional and far from mediocre & willing to give their clients what they request/book. Victoria focus on 1 business and not trying to entertain family/friends on your cellphone while servicing clients. Don't try to open another business & sell sugar scrubs, you won't prosper with this type of attitude. Show more
