I absolutely love Ebony and the work she does. I had no idea what I wanted her to do so we talked and she listened to my wants. I gave her free reign ...to do whatever she felt would look good. I got much better than good, my hairstyle is great and totally fits my face. I get multiple compliments daily!! I have made HairforHotheads the only place I go. Service was great but not enough to make the underhanded surge in charge worth it. When I called Eboni and we discussed price, she quoted me $85 (actu...ally she said $75 and corrected herself to $85). I made sure to say the word 'total' on the phone with her. When she finished my hair somehow the previously agreed upon quote of $85 jumped to $135 not counting an agreed upon extra $7 for app charge. When she said this to me I was shocked because it was not what we discussed and moreso it was an outrageous charge for the service given but I paid it. After I had left (far too late to do anything about it really) I asked her for a breakdown in price to which she said was $50 for the wash and $85 for the braids. This didn't make sense to me because on the phone she said 'Let's see, it'll be $50 for the wash so braids brings it to $85.' . That is a statement that ties into me asking her for the total cost. Nowhere did $135 come up. She said told me in the future she would send the price through text to confirm. I know her saying that is a complete cop out because we confirmed verbally multiple times on the price being $85. No matter how you slice it a wash and eight straight back braids are not worth $142 ($135 for service and $7 for the fee). Be careful and if you do get services from her make her re-confirm the price of service before she starts. Show more
