Ebony is talented but doesn't keep her appointments. She asks details about the style you want & gives you an estimate. Then on the day of the appoint...ment, she makes an excuse as to why she's unavailable and tries to give you to a stylist that is unlicensed & doesn't work at the salon. The unlicensed stylists must pay her to do this. It's a contracting situation that I usually ignore, but I'm over it. She's done it to me 3x already. If you choose not to let the other stylist do your hair, she'll say that you canceled & won't return your deposit. Or she'll agree if you complain enough, but if I'm paying hundreds of dollars for a service I'm not forcing anyone to do my hair. Nor do I want someone's hands in my hair that feels forced to do so. Hello Alisha. Thank you for patronizing my Buisness. Hairforhotheads is filled with very talented (licensed) hairstylist and Braiders. Due to an overwhelming amount of clientele, I do have assistants. Every style is executed with perfection or you will be refunded. Satisfaction guaranteed! Deposits are only refunded if the Stylist canceled. I did not cancel your appointment. I did inform you that my assistant would be assisting me with your braids. If only I had more hands 🙌 lol. Your happiness is important to me. I gladly offer a complimentary simple hairstyle from myself or one of my Braider’s. Have a wonderful day beautiful Hothead!

This is my first wig installment and Ebony made it a great experience. With a hairstylist I been, they always have a problem do my hair because I have... a lot of thick hair, but Ebony had no problem combing and braiding my hair. In fact, she did it so quick and painless. At the end,I was really feeling myself and I would go back for the experience. Show more

Very hard to make an appointment. When I finally did, which took a couple of weeks and tries, I showed up, and no one was there. Tried over the course... of the evening to re-schedule for the next day but still don’t have an appointment. I’ve been to Ebony and few times and she does great work. I wish there were more communication surrounding schedule and availability. Show more

Booking is easy, text if you don't see a style or need help booking, Ebony (salon owner) works Tuesday through Saturday. Other stylist are here Tuesda...y Through Saturday accepts walk ins times permits, appointment only Saturday, Sunday. Shampoo was so good in my hair, it's black carbon 500 only found here. Her handling was gentle. Ebony specializes in heat styling but does amazing taking care of natural hair. My scalp was sensitive from a previous style, so I explained during booking in notes and continued to text the stylist a photo if my hair and asked if i could bring my own products. She had no problem using what I brought, listening to what i liked and didn't like about my parts and asked me to continue to communicate with her so that she can provide almost whatever style I choose. Her shop is in a discreet location, clean and comfortable. She mentions reading clients to match their vibe, but only intends to give a great service. In this climate we need more stylists like Ebony who was easy to talk to, open about her hair journey and wishes to impress with every client. Good place! Kind, friendly, and fast. The pricing was different online vs in-person. I was scheduled for wash/blow dry + box braids. Ex: The online ...price for wash/blow-dry is $20, but in person, I was asked to pay $35. I was okay with it because it's a black-owned business, but I did feel a little mislead. Perhaps update the price list to reflect the accurate price? Apart from that, my experience was positive. I love my box braids! Show more

The hair dresser I booked with didn’t even show. She sent an assistant to do it for her and just kept in contact with me to get the payment. I booked ...a “silk Press” and she just gave me a basic wash and straightened it... definitely not a “Silk Press” it was still really frizzy and I had to go over it when I got home and it looked better after I did it myself. And I still paid $125 for a basic wash and flat iron. No wrap or anything. Definitely wasn’t worth it. Show more
