Kike d...id my haircut and without giving him too much detail he knew exactly what I wanted and gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten in the city. Definitely coming back to Kike! Show more

I was ok with the barbar being 20-25 minutes late due to a family emergency, but I felt the experience was rushed. The fact that he did not do the nor...mal application of warm shaving cream and razor around sideburns and nape of neck was dissapponting. If I was in the chair for 15 minutes, I’d be surprised. I loved the atmosphere - the space was quaint, the style vintage, and I love the energy the barbers brought to the room. I am torn on how to feel abo...ut my visit. The haircut I walked out the door with was a good one (well-done fade, solid beard trim, and overall a good look) - but the haircut was not at ALL what I had asked for. I came in for a simple fade/beard trim/blend with nothing taken off the top...and my stylist took it upon himself to "make it more manageable" by chopping of more than 2/3 of my hair, removing considerable length and removing my ability to style my hair at all. Given my hair was a big point of pride for me, this extreme deviation from what I asked for really stung and undid a lot of hard work and pride I had put into my hair over the last few years. The appointment also took almost 30 min longer than expected. I'm unsure if I'll return yet - it was a great shop and a good price. Show more

My first experience at Gabby’s was excellent. I think that for the first time since moving to Chicago I’ve found my go-to barbershop. Kiké Mendez is ...a fantastic barber. He was fast, efficient, and I walked away looking good and feeling good in a new cut. Would highly recommend both this barber and this shop. Show more
